Debut on channel 4 news...

I must preface with how my day last Wednesday went...

Spent the night with Wes in the hospital

8:00am- went home to get the kids so my sister could go to class, and took them to a babysitter's house. Then went back to the hospital.

10:20am- remembered I had agreed to be interviewed for channel 4 saving a buck story at 10:30. I was in pjs and looked scary. I quickly drove home and threw on clothes. Grabbed makeup bag and picked up kids real fast.

11:00am- Yes only 40 minutes later! I arrived at Lisa's house two minutes before Chellie got there to interview us (good thing they were running late as well!) I was able to make myself look somewhat decent with a tiny bit of makeup but I woke up with two fun red friends that popped up on my face so thats always fun. Was unable to do anything with my hair :(

11:02- Realized my kids dressed themselves today (like nearly everyday) and looked like rugrats while Lisa's were so dressed up and adorable! At least Avery actually somewhat matched and she had a bow in her hair which always helps!

11:03- Realized this is my life...oh well! Started talking about the babysitter exchange!

Why am I saying this now!? Because it will be airing on the news tomorrow at 6:00pm. So have fun watching me look and sound retarded!!

A busy past few days!!

Avery has learned how to tie her shoe!

Sunday, we watched my little sister run the half marathon! My family didn't get there until 8:40 in which she crossed the finish line at like 8:45 or something! But we saw her! Then we went to the memorial before coming home. Wes did pretty well keeping up, taking breaks when he needed. Monday he crashed but will hopefully bounce back quickly!Oops, we let our kids throw money before realizing they weren't supposed to. Here is Zane jumping. He looks like a frog here.

Sunday night we had a CR appreciation dinner for everyone who makes CR possible. The lovely volunteers who pick up prison ladies, the dinner team who spend half of their Friday's preparing food for over 100 people, and the babysitting crew who give our kids a fun Friday night! Here is a pic of us right before the dinner!

Then yesterday and today I decided to be crafty! I made the kids placemats which i'm excited about but before you praise me...if you saw the stitching...you'd take it back! haha Sewing machines hate me! Try try again...

Also these little flower clips!! Yes my addiction to hobby lobby is growing. At least I get it when its half off!

April Art Day!!

We made candles and Mother's Day cards. I used vanilla fragrance (needed to use a lot more I think!) along with this stuff. There is candle gel dye but I thought food coloring would work. However duh, water based and oil based don't mix! It did leave cool looking colored balls in the candle, but also made it bubbly and more opaque. Live and learn. We started by mod podging precut paper/magazine letters onto our glass container. The kids suprisingly did great at this. I helped with the letters, but they did the dot's all by themselves. I then had them color a picture for their mom that showed how much they love her and painted the stars on the front of the card. While they did that, I painted the top layer of mod podge over their containers.

While those dried by our ceiling fan, we read the story of the Good Samaritan and talked about how we should be nice to people at school even if they are different or mean. We had great conversation and each child said they would do what God wants them to and be nice to everyone! Then we had pretzels and OJ and finished up the cards. Glue stick and magazine letters were a little difficult so I pretty much just finished them off! They went and had Play Time!
Poor Zane. We need another boy... Here are the finished products! The wicks need trimmed by the way. I have burned A and Z's and they didn't spark or blow up so thats always good to know... Yes. It says Rock Star Mom! Avery decided to draw the world and say I'm the best mom in the world. I think I'll go ahead and agree! Zane drew sun's...just because!

Fun Day!

So last night was...interesting. Didn't get much sleep after 3am. Then went to the chiropractor this morning and found out I have moderate scoliosis. I have always known i've had a messed up back and it's always been uncomfortable. At times, it has been so bad I couldn't walk or bend. If I ever walk for very long, it realllly hurts. I figured gymnastics and cheerleading just messed it up. I never would have guessed scoliosis. I've never had an xray or anyone really check for it, I guess.

I got a coupon for a full spinal xray, consult, and adjusment for $20, so I went. Not only could I clearly see an S in my spine, my hip was off making one leg seem a tiny bit longer (why it hurts walking very far), and my neck curves the opposite direction its supposed to (why I have headaches non stop). I have no idea what lies ahead other than a lot of chiropractic visits this month and maybe physical therapy. Maybe a brace, maybe surgery. No idea but none the less, fun stuff...it will be weird not having any pain or discomfort. Maybe I'll be more patient, less irritable. I won't know what to do with myself!

I wish I would have taken a picture of my xray. Maybe tomorrow!

Over The Weekend...

It was such a nice day, we decided to get pizza and go to the park. Little did we know, an hour later it would pour down with rain! Got a little wet trying to feed the ducks moldy bread, but it nice getting out as a whole family! This looks like one of those, Daddy, I know you are scared about going back to the hospital...but just know I luv ya buddy, kinda pictures!!To keep myself from going crazy, I've finally gotten Zane interested in coloring for longer than three minutes! Which gave me the opportunity to do these! I am such a copycat and will most definitely never be an Ahmo (i'm jealous of her!) but I saw those and thought Avery would love them...and she does! Thanks for the idea! It was fun for Avery and nice therapy for me!Welp, tomorrow is the big day- It got bumped up a day. Wes will be going for his very last chemo treatment tomorrow morning!!!

Officially Depressed

So I decided to go through my drawers to see if there were things I didn't like or that didn't fit me in hopes of clearing up a drawer for me to put craft stuff in. Three pants (linen) went into the give away pile. I just don't iron. Then there was this pile...

I want to cry. None of these fit me anymore. All but like three were bought in the last two years and many only worn a handful of times. If you or anyone you know is a size 2 or 4...and could use some pants, let me know! The past 9 months I've been thinking I'll get back into them but I still have a drawer full of pants that are my "If I just go to the bathroom I can get them buttoned" pants. So really this pile...I'm just too far gone...

Avery's Random Easter Book!

Avery has been making little books for people lately so I decided to make her a nice looking one (not that hers weren't!) and told her it was for us to keep and read...not give away! After she drew a picture, she told me what to write...There is a bunny hopping in my house, hiding in the small places. Me and Ava (a friend in her class) are hiding Easter eggs and the bunny is hopping all over.
Not sure why these pictures flipped on me. Anyway continuing on... The fish are hungry and I don't know what to feed them. They are all really really hungry. The flowers are trying to get water but they can't because no one will feed them.
The bunny is hopping and hiding Easter eggs. I love the Easter bunny. The bunny likes to watch the sun. I like birds (the red thing with crazy black feet is a bird!)
I love to play outside. I love to play on the swingset with Ava. (The green thing is our turtle sandbox!!)
I love trees. The bunny likes to eat carrots. I like to play in the treehouse with Ava. Ava is inside the treehouse. The End.
This was fun...we'll have to do these more often!

Guess what I'm going to do right now. I really wanted to paint something...but I have decided to put on some running shoes. If you live by me...make sure i'm not dead on the sidewalk somewhere...

What? It's Thursday Tomorrow???

This week has flown by. Warning: This is very random!
Monday- cleaned kitchen, went to ballet, layed down and wanted to be lazy while kids watched homeward bound but I heard an old canvas my sister gave me call my name. Popped this little number out. Really have no use for it but it was fun. Maybe it will be in my garage sale soon!
Tuesday- Picked up and vacuumed the whole house, did grocery shopping, cleaned kitchen again, took kids to the park, took Henry to dog park, watched my nephew, let kids play outside while I read blogs, watched biggest loser, crashed early.
Wednesday- Didn't clean the kitchen and so now it looks like this...
During the kids' nap, I wanted to organize my "office" which led me to work on this project...(it was making a mess and is now contained!)I spy with my little eyes a little silver screw! Still have a ways to go and need to find more junk. Avery came in and started crying when she saw some of her stuff in there. Offered her Easter candy and she got over it.Went to Hobby Lobby and got the stuff for Art Day along with other things, spent the day at the zoo, went to church, checked email, now I'm doing this...decided to take a picture of me and Wes...turned out bad. Oh well. Blogs are better with pictures.

Watched the news tonight (doing this now) and saw Hobby Lobby's minimum wage is now $10 an hour...making my temptation to work there even greater!!

Tomorrow I really just want to stay in bed and not get out. At all. I'd even put a bed pan beside me.

Oh and Wes enjoyed a Jamba Juice today! His white counts are up and his last treatment is probably within the next couple of days! I'm seeing light... :)

Easter Sunday

Two posts in one day. Excessive I know! It's like scrapbooking...I can't narrow pictures down very well...
Opening the Easter baskets! Yes, Avery took her jammies off. Avery saw her big gift (a nasty mineral oil filled lipgloss/nail polish set) and said "Hey we have this in your closet at home. The Easter bunny got us another one!" I guess he is losing his sneakiness. Her basket was full of bows, pens, pencils, stamps, and a notebook. Boys are so much harder to shop for. He loved the lightening mcqueen remote control car...but books about recycling and saving the earth...well the Easter bunny is also lacking time and creativity these days!
Our Easter photo...minus 1. I was a little bummed Wes couldn't come but his white count continues to drop(to .4). I'm really hoping tomorrow it will have gone up. He is feeling the side effects from the antibiotics as well. I suggested removal of toes...he is weighing the pro's and con's...At my parents church, we saw Presley!! They were being so cute but by the time I grabbed my camera, Pres had had enough! Avery often asks when we will start watching her again! Peeling the amazingly dyed eggs! Nice lunch. Off to go home!
Showing daddy what all we got!!

Little Bunny Foo Foo!

Friday night, the kids decorated sugar cookie eggs. We went to an Easter egg hunt Sat. morning at a nursing home. Really great idea. Residents love watching little kids! When it was over, we went around telling them Happy Easter and Zane pretended like he was frog! Avery hugged this Easter bunny! Yay...progress! Disney World, here we come! Grandma Delmont...
and Grandma and Grandpa Bean came!
After lunch, it was egg hunt #2 time!
They ended up with a lot of candy...
Now time for coloring the eggs!
I think the eggs this year turned out great. Those dye filled q-tips sure did wonders.

We ended with game night...like always..."Bananas"- great game for scrapbook lovers that don't feel like playing for 2+ hours.
Now for Zanes new Easter song he learned! I'm guessing from sonshine school because i've never sang it!

Oh Thursdays...you come by so much faster now.

Poor Zane. When will he ever fit into his 18 month old pants! Doesn't he know these kinda pants are cheaper than adjustable waste jeans!
I feel somewhat bad for people who see my blog title and believe it. I'm sure I've completely let you down.

Why have I never known about http://ouranonymoustruths.blogspot.com/ ?? Very interesting...and I actually mean interesting this time.

We saw the Easter Bunny this year and it was the first time Avery didn't cry. She was still, however, the furthest away. Baby Steps. They are with their cousin Austen.
I really want to paint but Wes won't let me keep buying canvas! So feel free to bring me a canvas and I'll paint it! Can't promise you'll like it...but i'll give it to ya!

So I officially cannot breath inside my largest pair of jeans. The pair I used to pull off even while buttoned. So all you runners...send some of your running juice over to me. Or I'll take a wii fit!

It's so exciting having days where the swingset and sandbox babysit my children for a while! It makes me feel better about blogging or just sitting and doing nothing (while looking through the window of course).

I hate leaves. It makes this whole having a fish pond very difficult and a big chore.

Gena, never let Avery see those hamsters! Or tell her they bite!

Not important- don't read!

So I ran out of my brownie batter icecream and went to two Braums with no success. I decided to try brownie fudge sundae and cake batter. Cake batter is terrible. The other one is only good when I pick out all of the brownies and eat them! I wonder if there is an 800# on the tubs. I'll let them know cake batter is a no go and brownie batter should come back instead. Or is a higher being trying to get me to stop freakin eating so much icecream!?

Why is getting a background on your blog so hard? I tried and it didn't work. Now I have the ugliest blog in the world and it's very sad.

Arg.

Yesterday evening I started feeling well enough to hang out with my old college roomie who was in town! I was pretty much out of it and floating in space the whole time but it was nice seeing her and her family!Align CenterWe met up for breakfast this morning too!
We then said goodbye and went to get Wes's blood checked real fast to make sure we were still able to go on our retreat!! We just found out his white count is .6 (the lowest it has ever been) and he isn't allowed to leave the house. I'm now depressed. I wanted to go so bad. We needed it...a peaceful break to ourselves. He feels better than I do right now. Maybe the blood test was wrong? His blood was 6. something just two days ago. I'm wondering if it is because he forgot to take his monavie and mannatech since coming back from the hospital (I wonder if that is why I got sick too...first time i've been without it in a while). I told him we should check his blood again at 5 this evening but i'm afraid it won't happen. I feel like I should continue going on and on just to torture you. Unfortunately i'm running out of things to say and just want to curl up and watch TV for the next 2-3 hours (kids nap time).
