Last Day of School

I guess I was fighting the urge to be negative yesterday! I totally forgot to mention I went to the Y to sign up Zane for T-ball and got hit with a $20 late fee. $85 to play T-ball....seriously? Plus the $12 shirt. Mr. Zane, you better play and give me some great pictures!!!

I also got big garage sale tables from the church only to bring them home and realize I have a ton of tools and a sweaty guy in my garage, cutting tile. Nothing is ready yet...and sounds like i'm going to be up all night. Everyone come over and buy crap...you know you want to! Make it all worth it for me!!!

During dinner last night, I cut up a ton of veggies and steamed them only to wake up this morning and find them still sitting in the container, waiting to go in the fridge. Someone please tell me they are still okay....?????

Lastly, during teeth brushing time last night, Zane emptied out a little bottle of shower gel in the toothbrush drawer. Instead of taking the time to wash out the brushes, I stated teeth brushing time was canceled tonight. I'm terrible, but I had already mentally checked out for the night. Especially since I was still frantically searching for my movie I was planning on watching. Which, I found it hidden in Zanes room this morning. The the case is still MIA. Are we allowed to turn a movie back in without the case!!? Oh dear, I must move on...

Avery graduated from the Pre-K class at church on Wednesday. When getting ready, she said she wanted to look "fabulous!"so here is her looking fabulous....

I finally took the time to upload a video of her saying the 23rd Psalm. I was suprised when she was able to say most of it without help. I will never say if it was me working oh so hard with her...or if it was Mrs. McBride. Anyway, 3 hours of loading...here it is!

I'm not sure what to do with all of these now...we started off doing so good and Avery memorized the first five maybe? I kept them on the fridge thinking we'd start up again...why do I feel so bad throwing them all in the trashcan. I feel like i'm being wasteful or something. I'm seriously having a battle going on inside me over this. Pathetic.Goodbye Mrs. McBride and hello Journey Land!!!

Random but Successful Day

Drop Avery off at school - check
Go to Lowes to pick out tile which took an hour because the guy helping me wouldn't get off the phone – check
Drop tile off at house – check
Go to chiropractor with Zane – check
Pick up Avery and Ava from school – check
Make lunch – check

Take Henry to get his shots at petsmart between 2-4 - Forgot again :(
Let kids babysit themselves with popsicles...and fish... along with the swingset, while I lay on bench swing and relax – check
Paint a picture frame for Avery’s teacher – check
Depress over the fact that Zane’s teachers got nothing, yet – check
Depress over the fact I still haven’t sent out Zane’s bday invites to three people and it's on June 6th – check
Why do good thoughts only last two minutes before turning negative – still pondering
Ava goes home and Zane takes super late nap – check

10:20 update - So the kids didn't go to bed that early and I can't find the movie I just got.....successful day has all the suddened turned unsuccessful!

The office that never was, but almost is!!!

I've tried not having a craft room and making it work. It started in the sun room, but the sun discolors paper and it takes a while to heat/or cool up which doesn't help me when I find a quick five minutes to work several times throughout the day. It's getting better each attempt BUT this time it might just work (I have to allow myself an out!) I won't be able to sew probably...but hopefully everything else will fit and look organized! I had a hall cabinet, part of Wes's desk in the living room, a cabinet in the kitchen....and then these two places in my room...

This big ugly desk in my room idea left me with no room for shelves or space to hold all my stuff! The kids got into all the time and it always looked cluttered...it wasn't worth it to stain and make it look nice. No one should have to have this in their bedroom. I could never relax. I actually love organized and clean spaces if you can believe that! I think that is why i've been so crazy lately!

Completely embarrased to post these! Yes, that hobby lobby sack is my trashcan currently.

Attempt number three- kick Wes out of the closet! I moved all his pants that don't fit him currently along with all long sleeve work shirts in Zanes room! I gave him this little area....oh and this is my new desk!

I get all the rest! I am still in the process of hanging shelves and getting storage, and then going around the house collecting my stuff so it can all be together. If you didn't notice the title, it says almost is....this is most deffinitely NOT the finished product and is still a mess!

Oh the joys...

Well, since I blogged about blessings already....I figured I could get away with this one.

Monday evening, we watched Mall Cop (funny!) and Wes informed me, I wouldn't see him much this week. He then stated he may even be taking a sleeping bag to work with him.

What did I do....well I made the dreadful Wal-mart run and loaded up on popsicles (the cheap babysitter) and icecream (the one spouse that never leaves you!) HA!

Wes, reminding me his coworkers read this (but never comment might I add!!!), wanted me to add....I am not complaining. Just being silly!

May Art Day!!!

Saturday morning we painted picture frames! I was painting one for a birthday present, and Avery said she wanted to do that for Art Day! The plan was to make them Father's Day presents. I was going to put I love Daddy with stickers and finish off the edges, but the boys wanted to hurry and go outside! So then I pondered finishing them the next time, but realize that wouldn't work out well! So, sorry we didn't get that far with them. You can leave them like that, or make them a little nicer and have it go on daddy's desk!!Avery paints everything with pink and purple, but she actually picked out different colors since it was for Daddy! Very suprising...
I had the little ones play with shaving cream; however, Landice wanted nothing to do with getting stuff on her hands! She colored instead.

It was then Story Time! I read about the five senses and we discussed that for quite a while. See if they remember them!
Snack Time! Pretzels and cheerios. We used our five senses to name off differences between them.

It was finally Play Time! Mr. Jaxon could not wait to play with our little dog!

It was then Clean Up Time! The older kids however expressed their wishes to play with shaving cream as well. Being the people pleaser, I let them all play in it while I cleaned up!

Cousins!!

The kids played with their oldest cousin today! Avery was excited to talk about the Jonas Brothers with Morgan! They both like Nick although she said her boyfriend is Callon (oh dear). Avery likes older kids to think she knows what they are talking about, but when asked her favorite Jonas Brothers song...she said "I forgot how it goes!" Dear sweet Avery, It's okay to say you've never heard their songs before!!! You are only little once. Please don't grow up too fast!!! For those who noticed...yes Zane is wearing the same clothes as yesterday. We are so neglectful, I know! It's been back to back activities the past two days. After his nap, I promise to bathe him and put clean clothes on him!!

Avery's only girl cousin! We are going to have to do some girly things sometime soon!

Pretty random...

You know its going to be a good day when you wake up so nauseated you have to make eggs in the microwave...

I think i've been coming across pretty negatively lately so I wanted to share some blessings!!

-God's grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace, and strength. Our family has needed it and received it the past five months especially.

-Wes's job. What would we have done without them.

-My kids. Even though my patience is low some days, they are still so cute!

-Blogs. How else would I vent! I've found support from other Leukemia patients that we email back and forth with. Praying for each other.

-CR. There is no better place to find amazing friends who make sure you are okay at all times and when you aren't...take you to get pedicures or starbucks! They are the ones that don't take "fine" for an answer and I love that!

-Showers. Even though I usually don't look much better after them...I feel refreshed!!

-OC, Leadership Square, and MRCC for giving us 122 units of blood to offset the balance of blood Wes received!!

-Leukemia. Even though you have not been my best friend, you have brought Wes and I closer, so I can't hate you!

-The voice inside my head saying this is getting long enough. I would have gone on and on and if weren't for you!!

Now some random thoughts for random shots...

Out of 10 shots, this was his best pose. Modeling is not in future. However, playing in daddy's hair gel, deffinitely in the future.

What can I do to bribe her into trying tball. She's so good at it but doesn't like wearing the jersey or sweating...

My kids are with my sis in law today. I had Austen Tuesday, Friday and today. So now Amy has them all until tomorrow! Woohoo! Today should really be a grocery shopping and cleaning day. However, my one free day for the past...forever...should really not be spent doing anything productive. So it hasn't been. And won't be. Why this is my second blog entry for today...

Anyway, Amy called me to tell me this...

Avery - "Amy, I really like Barack Obama"
Amy - "Oh really?"
Avery - "Yea, he is the best president."
Amy- "What do you like about him?"
Avery- "He has brown skin, he's good looking, and he helps everyone with everything!"

Crack me up. I love that her daddy was a leader of the College of Republican's at OC!! I think its comedy.

It is that time of year again. The time Wes nearly has a heartattack and my baby looks like a big boy. To keep from shedding tears over such a ridiculous post as this, I will just start uploading...
