Tur version of the flu...

Wednesday started out like any regular day. Neighbor friend comes over and wants a quick photo shoot before I take them to school! I think I have found where the puckering of lips came from! Zane and I had such a fun day sweeping the back porch, digging leaves out of the fish pond, and raking a trashcan full of leaves from the back yard. He then had "a great idea! Let's have a picnic on a blanket!" Weather was amazing for that!
Wednesday did not end so normally. Avery went to bed and woke up at around 9:30pm fussing. She was mega hot (103.8) and said her tummy hurt so we went straight to after hours. I always wait at least an hour there but we were able to walk in and out within 10 minutes (no one else was there!). She had the oh so popular flu :( We got the medicine in her and thursday morning was spent like this...(yes today is cleaning day!)
She informed me she was no longer sick and wanted to go to school! The whole day her temp was just around 99.3 and she acted normal all day. She was very upset when I told her she had to take a nap. She fought it but fell asleep at 3 (and so did Zane). They didn't wake up until 5:30! So we hurried and got dressed...Avery was tinkerbell this time!
Zane did not want to get out of his jammies so he had "a great idea! I can be SUPER JAMMIES!" I let him! Knowing I'd get bad looks if we were spotted at the OC dorms trick or treating, the kids went to eat and decorate cookies with Brittany!
Z prefers the dumping method while A prefers the perfectly placing method
Arts and crafts time!

Avery woke up this morning with just a 97.3 temp. Once again asking to go to school. Instead we decorated the pumpkin we got from Miss Emily! Of course eyelashes are a must...I see the kids found the camera today during lunch time! I was on the phone with leap frog's customer service (leapster doesn't work). It's naptime/blogging time now and I came across several pictures like these...
I'm very thankful for this version of the flu! Looks like the family retreat this weekend is back on!

Trunk or Treat

At the last minute, Avery decided she wanted to be Snow White and not Tinkerbell. She wants to be Tinkerbell at "Brittany's school." Spidey is my nephew Austen! Such a handsome Prince Charming if I do say so myself!
He was so excited he scored a goal!

He's saying Trick or Treeeeeeeeeeat! E is like do you seriously have to take a picture of me...

We dragged the kids around the circle of activites and were off. It's hard for me to even breathe in this chaos! Very easy to quickly lose children i'm sure? We got enough candy for me to be able to sneak out the good stuff so I would call it a success!

Avery's First Gymnastics Meet

I wonder if Steve Nunno (can't see him) realizes he just put a medal around his next Shannon Miller's neck!!!??

Wow this took way too long to upload. Hour and 15 to be exact. So you are only going to get her floor routine! She was a little flustered and kept getting turned around for some reason! On the headstand, she kept kicking too hard she'd flip over so the coach said do a baby headstand! Well that sure is a quick teeny tiny baby headstand if I do say so myself. She did good on bars beam and vault too! So excited for the next one :)

Some fun kid conversations

I've been sewing a lot again lately, so I'm not blogging as much! However, there has been a few funny things I've heard the kids say lately. I usually forget them but here are some I remembered.

After racing...

Me- Ah man, you beat me. How are you so fast?
Zane- God made me fast. God made you not fast, but it's ok...

When eating...

Zane- Look. My muscles are getting big and strong from eating these green beans and chicken nuggets! I'm getting so big (as he stands up to show us!)
Me- Yes! You are getting so big and strong. Good job buddy!
Zane- Feel my tummy. Can you feel the chicken nuggets?
Me- Oh, I think I do. It's right there...
Zane- I'm a good boy aren't I? (Smiling so cutely and raising his eyebrows looking so proud!)
Me- You are! I'm proud of you. Keep on eating!!!

My kids have sadly already learned about jail and they will often ask questions about it.

Zane- Why do people go to jail?
Wes- Because they were naughty and didn't obey.
Zane- If I say bad words, I will go to jail. Right?
Wes- Well, no...
Me- But that would make God sad. He doesn't like bad words.
Zane- Mommy, is that jail over there?
Avery- No Zane, jail is by daddy's work!

When picking up Zane from school, the first thing he said was...

Zane- Mommy, my milk turned into juice today in my lunch!!
Me- No sweety, I put your milk in the frudge and put juice in your lunch! The cups look the same. Milk can't turn into juice!

Something said almost daily...

Zane- You're the best mommy ever/You're my best buddy ever

Random...

Avery- When are you going to have another baby in your tummy?
Me- Are you wanting another baby to play with!?
Avery- Yea. I want a baby sister!

Mainly for my Grandma...

It's a lot...but only a fourth of them!
