Awesome Icicles!

Avery was not excited about holding it saying it's too cold...but Zane broke the tip off because he liked playing with it so much.PS. These are terrible pictures as we have still not replaced our broken camera...
Funny little stories...
Zane: Did you get that at save money live better Wal-mart?
Avery was given two packs of gum at church on Wednesday. She was told to share and give one pack to someone else. I asked her who she wanted to give one too and she said..."I already gave one to Callon and he gave me one to me so we already shared. I can have them both." I think she missed the point!

Got Cabin Fever?

The best way to cure it is making something! I wasn't planning on making Avery another Valentine's shirt, but I was bored yesterday. I figured I would try this, although I used brown felt (don't recommend) and I put it upright on the shirt. I just realized that. The little chocolates would be falling out if it was standing up like this. Oh well. Oh, and see the left side where it's not straight? It turns out that it is very important to have enough stabilizer all the way around or it pulls all weird and goes crazy. The matching little hair clip turned out ok though! I have also been crocheting for Thread of Compassion. I ran out of my yarn, so I will have to wait until I can run to Hobby Lobby to finish. Let me know if you like crocheting/knitting. You can join the group that meets, or you can do it at home and donate them to Jessica!
If neither of those sound exciting, you could always get a really bad migraine and go to Mercy After hours and get a shot in your bum...I'm doing pretty good right now!

Fun Craziness!

Here is Mr. Zane for Western Day at his school. I still do not recognize him with no hair. Our next door neighbor who the kid's call grandma saw him and said "Hi sweetie, what is your name!" Silly grandma it's Zane! She thought it was another nephew! This little game we got for Christmas has been a favorite. Has been a mess though. I find dern ants everywhere. This week, I picked up two new part time kiddos. Here is Mr. J along with Austen eating playdough...
Sweet little R, I'm glad you like Avery's dollhouse. It has been so neglected.
All 5 of them! Or course Avery had to quickly stand and pose for the picture....
We have fun. Craziness, but fun!!!

The Kids

Austen and I went to eat lunch with Avery last week and I just love his face in this picture! The boys are always finding the camera...

which is why I can't find it right now...
Thanks to Lesley, I was able to get a picture of Muffins for Mom's day at Avery's school. I was Bella's "mom" that day as well since her mom is a teacher at a different school. Oh, and yes, I chopped off about 7 inches of hair and got bangs. One word. Annoying.
Time is continuing to fly by...

More creations and poses!

I found these bon-bon necklaces and thought I'd give them a try. Cheap and quick is always a plus! The pink/red one uses an old tshirt for the material so the fabric wont fray.

I made a very quick valentine's outfit and I see we have learned some new poses...

Turtlenecks aren't Avery's favorite, so I figured I'd use the one in the bottom of her drawer for this project! I used freezer paper to make the stencil and light pink fabric paint (it looks white but it's not). The skirt is the same one used for her Christmas outfit.

A neighbor came over Friday wanting help making her American doll a dress. She brought me a sheet of felt and this is what we made! She sewed on the buttons and we used velcro along the back side. Turned out pretty cute and much cheaper too!

Have a great weekend!

Just needed to see myself type...

During xmas break, I found out my back is messed up more that I thought. I went to my podiatrist in Bartlesville to get custom shoe inlays thinking it may help me walk without dying afterwards! While there, he and his partner watched me walk, stand, bend over, and measured me. I found out my left leg is a centimeter shorter. My right shoulder hangs lower (very obvious now when I look in the mirror.) My right hip is frozen and not moving like it should- on top of the scoliosis. He told me he’d make me inlays as that will give me a good foundation, but he said I needed to go to a DO and I may need Physical Therapy among other things…awesome.

For Xmas, my mom got me a massage and the therapist said I was a poster client for massage therapy and that I really needed to find someone when I got back home to continue. He said my muscles were so tight and knotted in my hip/booty and shoulder/neck area, it would take 4-6 times to work it out. He also told me DO’s/chiro’s may move my bones but the tight muscles will pull them right back, making it pointless. Makes sense I suppose…

So I recently just went to Kory at Massage Envy. Without saying anything to him other than I like it deep, he started talking about how tight my shoulders were and asked if I get headaches often. He then started working low back/hip/rear area and again said these muscles should NOT be this tight, sounded slightly surprised even. I was a little sore with the therapist in Bartlesville but OH MY, was I dying with this one. I wanted it that way, hoping it would get better quicker.

I’m looking forward to my DO visit coming up this next week. He was recommended by the Herndon’s, so I feel pretty good about it. Really nervous he will say I need physical therapy and yoga classes or something…but I’m ready. I’m just going to go all in. Getting migraines so bad I throw up and have to go to the ER is not really working for me. It leaves me with a $2500 bill and even more headaches! I’ve been a cheapskate for far too long. For 2 months I will alternate getting adjusted and getting a deep tissue massage along with anything else the DO recommends.

Hopefully I'll be a new person after this. Any other crazy jacked up people out there?! Did anything help? I'm starting to think I'd rather just have surgery and get my spine fused together. Yes, frustrated would be the word.

I've found another love...

It's been sickness all around here. Some nasty bug that has thankfully only lasted about 10 hours (unless you end up with a bad migraine and neck bones all out of place-me. So mine was two days)! It started with Avery New Years Eve then Zane last Wednesday. He threw up all over my floor. It was so nasty. Friday Austen and I were sick and then Saturday Aaron got it and now last night Wes got it. Yuck yuck yuck. I was sick of puek, cleaning, being stuck in bed, etc. So yesterday I decided to get busy doing something more fun!
I've finally got around to making flower clips just prior to the sickness. It's been on my list of " to try" for a long time now. This orange one is a little bit too big and bulky I think? I love this one!
Yesterday, I got back to it! I Didn't get a good picture of this one, but its all made out of material.
Revamped an old never worn "it's not my favorite" skirt again!
Now I must clean again :(

The Five Christmas's

The Christmas season started off when Abbie and DiDi sent the kids gifts in the mail on Wednesday. I went ahead and let them open them early. Thursday morning we drove to Bartlesville right after eating the last piece of chocolate from the chocolate calendar! When leaving, we got pelted with frozen rain drops. Made it there right before the blizzard came. Tradition of making some cookies for Santa...
Sang Christmas songs... Opened up one Christmas eve present...and then watched Christmas Vacation of course! I forgot our stockings/stocking stuffers and even some of the presents but thanks to my family, the kids had stockings with some stuff in it... Family picture time. Mom and the three sisters...
Making chocolate Christmas suckersSaturday we went to Kansas to see my mom's side of the family. Aren't we so fashionable! Some of the family couldn't make it due to the snow but here we all are in our ugly sweaters!Wes won the ugliest. Here is his excited party face...Back at home ready to enjoy the finished product. Too bad the chocolate tasted like nasty wax! The kids didn't even like them but it was fun to make...Enjoying the snow. We went sledding but all those pictures were on my sis's camera :( Next was Broken Arrow to see the kids' Great Grandma/Grandpa Bean Our last Christmas was Friday Jan 1st with Meemaw Aaron Amy and Austen.Lovely Rice Krispy treat houses!

So sad the holidays are over. The kids got awesome gifts this year and it was nice seeing all our family!
