WHAT IS GOING ON!!?

I am about to go crazy. My face has all of the sudden decided to freak out. Everytime I get it under control I wake up and the craziness has tripled. I may just be seeing a dermatologist for the first time ever :(

Why can't I have perfect skin like these cutie's!!? Here is Avery being such a good babysitter to little Presley!
If you ever can't find Zane, it is because he is hiding somewhere with candy. Even at Grandma's house...

Here is our cute little Henry

Staying At Home...

This is my old "other half" PT office manager! This was her last day but I quit a month ago. Here is my old desk and the new office manager we hired. She is holding little Presley, the girl I babysit on Tues and THurs and Avery! I did medical billing, transcription, ins. benefits and authorizations, office supplies, mail, hired, trained, put up and pulled files from storage, and all the other craziness of a small one man buisness!! It was great experience!

Now for how I feel about no longer working...It's hard. I thought I'd be less stressed and have more time to just have fun with my kids. This is true, however I've found I'm back to where I was when I decided to start working. I found it very hard to be with kids who couldn't really converse and just feeling like I needed more excitement (hecticness) in my life. I was getting cabin fever and feeling depressed so I decided to get a part time job.

2.5 years later life has gotten way too crazy. Sharing time with kids at school, soccer games, gymnastics practice, CR, church, work, and you know an occasional cup being put in the dishwasher and pizza being put in the oven, fun mom and kid time was not where I wanted it.

I think it will all be great and we have played more but I am dealing with the crazy feelings again. I think i've pinpointed it to some things. My scrapbooking and painting stuff is so disorganized and those are my hobbies that should fill me up during nap time and right now just make me feel overwhelmed so I watch things like Days of our Lives and Dr. Phil instead...which don't fill me up. The kitchen always has dirty dishes even if I do them everyday. When at work I didn't have to look at it and now the sight never leaves me. Also the kids are worse with me than they are with babysitters!! They fight, push buttons, always ask for candy (i think i'm going to throw it all out!) and are just not the sweet perfect kids teachers and babysitters tell me they are. Don't get me wrong they are joys! Lastly, I have more time to think...and usually things that pop into my head are my inadequacies so naturally when you put all of these together...it's somewhat depressing!

I'm currently looking for a tall skinny piece of furniture to help my scrapbook/paint mess get organized! I'm trying to pretend that messes do not drive me crazy! I watch video clips and look at pics of my kids to remind me how darn cute they are!! I also am trying to remind myself no one is a super mom, super wife, super maid, and super spiritual so I should just chill...I'm going to get there!!!

Thank you for letting me act like the girl off Momma's Boy who just got booted!!! And sorry I just wasted five minutes of your life!!!

December Art Day!!

This was the finished project for this month!
Making our ornaments! The glitter glue on the outside kinda dripped down when they were hanging to dry! Inside the ball we poured glitter and paint inside!
After eating snacks of Orange Juice/milk and Peanutbutter crackers, we killed some time just coloring while I cleaned some up!
After reading Melody Carlsons Love Your Neighbor, we stopped for a picture! We also talked about Reindeer as well and the differences between them and regular deer!
When it was almost time to go, everyone wanted to dress up of course! I want to apologize to every mom who was trying to shelter their kid from the ever present Hannah Montana! She was the hit of the morning!

Kayla Needs...

A wise blogger did this and I got curious. I am always asked what my Christmas list is and I never know anything. I just say Walmart gift cards and make everyone annoyed at my boringness. So I thought I'd google the words "Kayla needs" and see what google thinks I should ask for. Some things I found were...

1. Kayla needs a guy she can keep - Uh oh...i'm scared? Not sure what I should do after seeing this!!? Maybe this is a sign I need to go on a date with Wes...
2. Kayla needs more prayers - Yes I could use this. Not sure it will really go into a stocking very well but very much always needed and appreciated.
3. Kayla needs a drink - I could deffinitly use this. Not sure what kind of drink google is talking about. Hopefully its not Dr. Pepper because that has made my pants not fit!!
4. Kayla needs to gain weight - Okay google...you are so two months ago....
5. Kayla needs a hat - I love hats and hate doing my hair. Good thinking!
6. Kayla needs you - Yes I do and have been trying to figure out a way to tell you this for so long!
7. Kayla needs a home - I'm content but a house in Thornbrook wouldn't be that bad! Maybe google meant something from home depot!?!?
8. Kayla needs help - I do need help. cleaning, cooking, organizing, my growing addiction to blogging about really ridiculous things....

Hmm well google..you have given me great insight and some ideas to tell my family...

Gain 10 pounds in two months!

The secret on how to accomplish this would be to travel alot and stop at McD's for lunch and dinner while on the road! We have sadly eaten here more times this past month than we have all year. Secondly go from drinking pop once every couple of months to drinking two cans almost daily along with iced coffee from McD's. Pretty much just stop drinking water! That'll do it for ya! WOohoo for only have sweats that fit you now!!! Could I make money giving out this diet plan!?

Watch out...I'm cooking!!!

When visiting my great sister-in-law in Alabama this past week, she told me about this website I should try. It's $15 for three months so we came home and thought we'd try it. It's called e-mealz and you can sign up for whatever size of family at whatever grocery store you use and if you have a particular diet. We chose Low Fat Walmart Family Plan (4-6 people). Each week you get on their and print out this...

It always has a more gormet meal, a crockpot meal, and then easy and cheap meals. It picks the meal plan depending on what is on sale at your store to save you money!! They send you the grocery list of exactly what you need and it is always around $75 for our family plan (which a week lasts longer because of leftovers!) It is $35 a week for plan for 2. This is great because I hate figuring out what we need from the store so i'd just say get whatever and Wes would come back with a lot of hamburger helper and kashi pizzas and that was about it!!!

As you can see by these pictures I circled four meals I was going to try and circled the things needed in the grocery list we needed. I forgot to tell Wes only get the things circled so he got everything! I now have to make all of them even the ones I wasn't sure I was ready for!!! Anyway it also breaks up the list according to where they are in the store. Produce, grocery, dairy, etc. Yesterday I tried making the Easy Cheesburger Pie. I will say it looks somewhat like barf but it wasn't bad. Needed a little more salt I thought but very much edible! I was proud of myself! The cheese isn't all the way melted because I was too excited I needed to try some before it was done! I'll probably post about this again after I try some more! I could become a famous chef and write a book like Brei Vandecamp!!!

Creative Kids...

Here was our November Kids Day. We painted Turkeys and then had a little snack. We then Read "Show Each Other Forgiveness" which is a cute book about a boy who got really mad and yelled at his friends and sister after they did something. He was then in time-out when he realize he messed up! God forgives us so he should forgive his friend for losing his ball and say sorry for yelling at him! Lovely story!
(the top pictures were supposed to be here)
Then we Gorgeous Gords!! So fun. The kids picked what eyes, nose, hair, feet, and arms they wanted. I did the hot glu but they helped put them or point to the place they wanted. Some wanted "cheerleader arms saying hooray" some wanted a tie like daddy's or a scarf, and some wanted hair standing straight up! Very fun.
It just being girls this time. Avery wanted to paint everyone's fingernails so thanks to Nadia and Kadence for letting her! Mia wanted to play dress up and sing with a microphone (very disappointed it was not a working one). We then went over how we are to act when our parents come home and crazy enough....NO ONE MELTED DOWN!!! Success!
Too bad my blog is not a success. I'm going to have to learn this one day. These pictures did not go where I wanted them too :(

And now for Ms. Sass....

Driving to church last night nice and peacefully and all of the sudden someone has to kick someone else and then start yelling. I tell them to stop and our precious little Avery says "Zane, Zip it lock it, put it in your pocket!" I swear...I thought they would just be cute and innocent for a little longer! Can I really not just keep her in a box to live forever in?! Just a month prior it was "Missed me missed me now you gotta kiss me!" I mean thats not even good grammar there....Oh how I can't wait to see what she learns today!

On a positive note...she hasn't been kissed yet!!! But her sass factor and head bobbin is becoming sadly an A+

Not the typical post...I may still be throwing up...

Stage 1- PITY

I think I’ve realized a circular pattern in my life. It starts with feeling like everyone is mad at me, or lonely, or not good enough, bored, depressed, or many other things.

Stage 2- HEROISM
I then try and overcompensate. Attend every bible study, every leadership position, my job needing me extra to train new girls, doing fun things with kids, keeping the house clean, cook something without a microwave, host church meetings, paint pictures, scrapbook, organize things to make everyone’s life easier…

Stage 3- OVERWHELMED
I then have so much stuff going on I’ll forget something important and revert back to stage one. Or I’ll continue on and start feeling overwhelmed. Scrapbook is all over the place and kids have gotten into it. My organizing ends up just being everything out of all the drawers or closets but nothing put back up. Several paintings half done, brushes with paint still on it and ruined, kids feel the tension and get clingy and make putting them to bed more difficult. Wes and I haven’t talked in a week because of no time…

Stage 4- LOOKING AT LIFE IN BLENDER
I get a migraine that kills so bad I end up throwing up uncontrollably and phenergan around the clock does nothing. A certain loved one gets upset and short because the kids always fight and go crazy when they know we are at a time we can’t handle it. It is all taken out on me and how I’m not doing anything to help myself (every time I swallow spit I throw up so I’m not sure what more I can do!) Dealing with frustration is not something my family is good at with words or action…

Stage 5- SURRENDER
Most of the time I end up in the ER. I’m pumped with Zofran, lots of IV fluid, and some pain meds. I’m there a few hours and come out pretty well. Prayer life is never better than this stage. Especially during recovery when I’m well enough to read but not much else! However, it becomes time for stage one again!!!

I guess it's time for me to start prioritizing the wonderful things in the Heroism Stage!! This is my goal for the month. One thing I think will really help is me quitting my job. I just decided it was must. I don't have too many comittments especially now that soccer is over for Avery! I do have a problem remembering things though. I'm not sure why (I should have Swink test me before I quit this coming Wednesday!) but i literally always forget things unless I can pair it with something else (exp. after church on wednesday there is a meeting) Things paired with something else or my little Avery asking me about it everyday...reminding me, help me!! Otherwise I forget stuff. I've got to stop beating myself up for it. I promise it doesn't mean whatever it was was unimportant to me...it just means i'm imperfect and its just not worth a $1,000 hospital bill anymore so I can't get myself worked up. Hmm it's now 11 occlock and I neep sleep...I'm sure I'll dream about more things I need to work on but feel free to let me know how you all survive without ending up in the blender!!!!!

A Blog that Blows...

Why does my blog blow?! The title is over their picture, there is a big purplish box to the right full of nothing, among many other unfortunates. Someone help my little blog before it starts to get made fun of...

Trutht vs Lie

So I have no idea how to post pictures on here but I must admit I have yet to even spend 1 second trying! I wanted to share this before I forgot though...

Yesterday during a shopping trip, I realized Zane had a patch of hair that was shaved off on the top of his head! Like everytime I question the kids, I heard Zane did it...no Avery did it...NO ZANE DID...nooooooooo (starts hitting Avery) I didn't....and so on.

I stopped them and let them know how it was a good thing I keep video cameras hidden in every room and that I would just check it when we got back home. Immediately miss Avery said "I just remembered I did it. I got your pink thing (razor)". It was a bittersweet moment. It is never fun realizing that my kids lie to me, but I was pretty excited to see how quick it helped her "remember"!!!

What a great way to spend a Saturday...

Today started out the same as every Saturday starts out. The kids wake up and Wes and I are laying in bed not wanting to move. It's about 8:00! Wes says "Its your turn to get breakfast, I get to sleep in" I say "I wanna sleep in too geez..." He starts the whole I wake up earlier than you ever other day and I remind him how I get more emotionally drained not to mention girls need more sleep than guys...!!!" We end up both getting up and throwing together a bowl of cereal for the kids. For those of you who make a gormet breakfast on Saturday mornings....come bring us some! We are lazy and deserve it!

Somehow we managed to get Avery to her soccer pictures at 9:00 followed by a double header. She actually ran around the field some and accidentally came in contact with the ball a couple of times...we are proud parents!

It was then nap time for everyone but me. I can't seem to take naps. I read some of Life's Healing Choices and watched a show online! After naps we thought we'd see what Family Fun Night in the farmer's market area was all about! Pretty neat. I recommend it. Avery also made a big step by actually touching Snoopy and a big tooth character! I think I can smell disney world soon!!!

We ate and chatted with some friends and then I was off to my indoor soccer game! This was a great way to end a day! My sports Asthma came out. I saw the clock with only 2 more minutes left of the first half with no girl subs at the time. I knew I needed out but felt like pushing through...almost passed out and became worthless the rest of the game. This seems like a good time to recruit...any girls want to join our team!!?

Welp, Saturday Night Live is over and I'm not in bed. I'm neglecting Wes but I believe I have said something that was so inspirational that it was worth it!l
