Random...and late at night...

So I missed last Thursday and thought I really need to make this one. It's late, I'm tired, but that is how dedicated (or crazy) I am.

When you are grumpy...come babysit him! It will be good for both of us!
So I'm not sure what you thought, but personally I thought the little boy in a blue shirt that could barely keep his pants up was the cutest one out there!
Lamenting popped into my head just now. I think we should lament the fact that my computer has almost kicked the bucket. Oh what will I do...
Wes is sick again with a temperature. Hopefully he'll get better soon. I am ready for my days of "It's 6 oclock, go play with daddy and stay out of my room!"
I just found out today that Avery will be in FULL DAY kindergarten next year. Excited, but I may just miss her too!
I wish I could afford someone to bring me coffee every morning. That could possibly help me right now.
That being said, I think things are slowing down. I've been able to mark several things off of my calendar (that doesn't exist). I should be a whole new person now!
Ms. Ava came over after school for a little playdate. Last time they painted and this time I suggested stamping!!
Oh fun fact about me...I have mega anxiety issues when I'm nervous. I'd throw up before performing at gymnastics meets. I had a panic attack before my first testimony night. I think I'm getting better though. I wasn't even shaky with the teen girls last night. I was unable to sleep, worrying about it for several nights prior, but all around, it was a success!
Today we also had Medal's in May at gymnastics! Avery got to perform for me and receive a medal! I got to take a lot of pictures and have problems narrowing them down...

I'm really in the mood for a reward and hoping I've just won the longest blog entry. Maybe even the one that put the most people to sleep? Well now I should probably put myself to sleep. Continue praying for Wes and his brother.

My kids are turning into mini me's....this makes me nervous!

Yesterday, Zane and I had a little conversation after Sonshine School....

Z- "Lets pretend we shauks"
me- "socks?"
Z- "no, shauks"
me- "getting shots?"
Z- "No silly, not shots. 'Shauks...in the deep blue sea!"
Me- "OH SHARKS!!
Z- "yea, shauks! Let's be shauks....i'll give you a suprise!!! (In a gradually getting higher voice!) It will be candy!!! (with a big smile and his eyebrows raised high!) I can see they have learned my "i'm going to get you to perform on video if it's the last thing I do" tactics...!

Oh dear, I'm speaking tonight in front of the youth group girls. Nervous. Send me all the confident, smooth public speaking juice you got!

From the past couple of weeks...

Our little gymnast! Look at her pointing her toes! Maybe she'll make it to the olympics and fulfill my unattainable dream! ;)
Oh my goodness, he has a lot of hair. It looks like a helmet. Maybe we will get it chopped off today.
Here is our neighbor we just recently started playing with, two years later! I made Avery's flower clip a couple of weeks ago along with several others as well(since I can't handle ribbon!) but I missed the opportunity to advertise mine! There are so many people who are selling the things I love (or have now copied and love) making!!! I have always loved craft projects but stayed too busy. Now, I need to stay busy. It's my self therapy sessions!!! To all you craft sellers, I promise to try not to steal your buisness!

Our little princess!!

I know you are all soooo anxious to find out that YES, we were able to perform in two ballet shoes! The other one was found in my purse. We did manage to come 45 minutes late to the Saturday morning run through though! To my suprise, we actually made it there just in time! Saving myself from being considered the world's worst, most unresponsible parent. Here she is in her little outfit. I somehow missed the memo that said little ballerina's are supposed to come in more makeup than their mom and have their hair plastered to their head. Seriously? I can barely get there with myself showered and holding the full uniform. The little MRCC girls. Why does my child look green?
Does You Tube and blogger not realize that I don't have an hour to waste waiting for this dern video to upload? Geez...here are the pics from the performance instead. The video may or may not be posted later on!

Scatterbrained

Avery had a ballet dress rehersal this past Tuesday. We could not find a ballet shoe of course. This has happened before about 1/3 of her practices as well. We couldn't be late so I said she'd have to perform with only one shoe on. She started crying saying everyone will have two shoes and they will laugh at her. She informed me she just won't go. Well this was not an option. Not only was she going to go to the church, but she also going to get on stage, and was going to dance.
I started with all the right things to say. Trying to teach her about putting her stuff where it goes so they won't get lost, not caring what other's think and just having fun, people notice smiles more than shoes, etc.
However, it didn't work. I ended with "If you cry and refuse to go out when we get there, then I will take every single toy you have in your room and give it away at the garage sale. You will never have to do ballet again, but you will do this practice and when it is picture time, you will smile!" I followed this with "you want your toys don't you?" a few times during the rehersal. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
Well, good news! When getting the dress up clothes out, we found....ballet shoe under hannah montana hair! Bad news...where did the other one go?

The weekend

Even though we had rain, it ended up being a good weekend where we kept busy...which was helpful. We went to the Sam Noble museum with Abbie (Wes's dad) who came to spend the weekend with us. We then babysat Saturday evening, so decided to have a pizza and movie night. Avery loves babies and really wants to have another!
Because our heater broke just a couple of hours before this big pizza and movie night, we had play time in the sun room with the heating unit.
After a while, Avery decided she wanted to play with an icepack. Never would have imagined how long an icepack could entertain children (only in a heated room though!).
Sunday we decided we needed some heat, and used our fire place for the first time...
and it didn't work that well, so we went down the street to Amy's house for a cookout.
Oh, and I made this salad and bought the dressing Elizabeth recomended and boy was it yummy. However, if you have a portion control problem...it's dangerous!! This ended up being my portion (on top of my hamburger!) I'm still hurting...but it was sure good!
Wes is excited about going to work tomorrow and actually doing work for the very first time since Christmas break! He has been feeling great and running around like he's never been sick. It's good to have our husband and daddy back. Thanks for all of the prayers!

Woohoo!

Our heater broke. Amazing! It's 65 degrees in here. Swine flu...are you just around the corner getting ready to suprise me as well!! I think my birthday has come early this year.
