Over The Weekend

Have you all noticed my blog has been devoid of anything interesting the past month or so? No? It always has? Oh well, my grandma probably enjoys it and really that's all that matters.
We went to the Arts Festival this weekend and got ourselves the worst Indian Taco EVER. It had no taco meat but only beans, giving it no flavor. I still scarfed the whole thing down but was a little disappointed, not gonna lie.
Since we were poor and didn't feel like paying a ton of money to ride little rides, we found the one free thing there...
The facepaint was even $1 and the bouncy toys were $2 to play on it 2 times. That means climb the ladder and slide down. BAM. $1 worth. Is that CRAZY!!? Maybe I am just the crazy tightwad!? Don't answer. Regardless, we thought the enjoyment of cotton candy would last longer...
Sunday, we participated in The Walk for Hope. We went all crazy and chose the big 2 mile course. We ROCK. We know.
Did anybody else notice Mr. Zane has the same shirt on at both of these events? Well, ever since I made it on Friday, he has worn it. That would be 4 days in a row without it being washed. It was finally washed yesterday and what do you think he put on for school today?? When I told him to take it off, he said noooooo we are supposed to wear yellow today! I tried to find the dern school calendar to see if that was correct. No success. I grabbed a different yellow shirt and said we will save the batman one for Thursday! I guess the spiderman costume was so two month's ago and jammies everyday was so last month's fashion. Moving on to bigger and better things...

Fun ruffly skirt!

I always get so excited when I make something that is wearable and adorable. I am sure I am bias...but I was pretty giddy about this one. I felt it was worthy of a photo shoot and here is her normal model pose...Here is a stripper looking outtakeThis one is after I said look sweet. I don't think she has mastered what angles create double chins yet...probably because I don't tell her.Lastly, just stand there normal (Aka- try and look only 5 years old)...
Love this skirt! Am I too old to wear one!!?

Random pictures/projects

The kids are going to have a joint birthday party this year and its still a month and a half away, but I am already getting excited about it...I may be going overboard?? Can you guess Zane's theme? I don't do pretty gardens. These flowers came with our house and actually look somewhat decent for about 2 weeks out of the year, so I figured I would get a picture of them! The far right are all yellow...
The middle are purple and the far left are all white...I think I would have mixed them all up, but to each is own.
Wes and the kids entertained themselves by putting on a photo shoot. Very loud laughing and a lot of let me see it let me see it...
and wait...I gotta stop laughing...
and daddy take it faster, I can't keep from laughing...which makes very lovely constipated looking faces...

Kids Say The Darndest Things

Anybody else miss that show?? Good wholesome TV shows...ahh those were the days. Anyway, Leave it to my kids to make you feel bad and self-conscious. The other day Zane was talking to someone who is deaf. Looking confused, he asked him if he was speaking English and then asked why he had things in his ears! He also later asked a guy “Why are you so big!?” I gave Avery this talk but I guess I didn’t give it to Zane…
Since we gave up having our lawn treated, this is what it looks like...

It's free entertainment that actually lasts a whole 5 minutes everyday so it's pretty worth having around I must say. The kid's like making wishes when blowing them...

A: I wish for the best dream room ever!
Z: I want to be a bird but I can't be a bird because I am just a boy...

I've also heard I wish I could have a whole bunch of spidermans and many other things I can't remember. I need to do this game more often because they can say pretty random things.

Here is one of Avery's not so greatest accomplishments this past week...Light pink and purple very worn sparkly shirt, dark pink denim skort, red tights, and dress shoes! What do you know, the same dern skirt. At least it matches this time! (Thet is face paint from the science museum)
Pretty random post.

There Was Contact With The Ball!!!

Woohoo!I am pretty sure she kicked this one...
These progressively get worse, but I promise that is her with the ball!!
Yep, that is her nike shoes right in the middle. However, I think the other team got a goal right after this was shot. That's really beside the point. After the game, she actually said she had fun! I'm hoping that is true. I don't let my kid's stop in the middle of things. If they beg me to do it by golly they are going to finish. I am glad she might be finishing with a smile!

Unpluggits

This is one of the many places the Tur-bus stops at frequently. I must admit it can be challenging having to watch 5 kids at this place, but I just make them stay in the playroom most of the time and it works out pretty well! I have taken beads and made a necklace and have taken a canvas and painted while they play. Great babysitting!! I do let them play in the craft room part too! By the time they are done with playdough, everyone's playdough is brown!
Here is R's before her white (and a little pink) playdough turned brown!
They have little activities each week as well. This was the Mannerless Tea Party. However, the Princess who has no manners called in sick :( They had the kids use their manners in order to get lemonade and popcorn and were read a book about manners.
I'm hoping to have a scrapbooking day while the kids are entertained soon!!

Mother Son Cowboy BBQ

Here we are in our get up...
I can never get a normal picture of these two...
He loved the water gun!
I had the bad angle :(
These were some big horses! Zane didn't cry at all this year!

Getting tatoos
Branding a cow
Trying once again to take a cute picture of them...
Yummy BBQ sandwhiches and Rootbeer!
Real life cowboy roper
Austen made it on stage!

Neat tricks!

Maybe next year I will invest in some cowboy boots. Some people don't appreciate my houseshoes as much as I do.
