PAR-TAY!!!!!!

We had the big day!!!
Months of planning on my part-had to finish painting, texturing, cleaning, painting, shoving 5 tons of school papers that have yet to be sorted through in a cabinet, and more painting...all leading up to this SURPRISE PARTY!!... We started by showing a slide show.
(The amazing Lucas Ross put this slide show together and he totally rocks.)
I spent many evenings "not feeling well" laying on my bed sorting through the photos and getting this sucker ready.
I've looked at those pictures a hundred times but when I watch it play, I still tear up every time. There is your warning...

This wasn't the final draft, but pretty close to it!

I got all the Tur cousins together. Can you imagine all these kids spending the night with you!?!? Mainly the one on the front row second from left! hehe. He doesn't fall asleep until midnight and Morgan and Levi fell asleep at 2am! We had a blast though!!
Here was the set up (minus some cookies that some friends brought!) I was going to make little sandwiches (pbj, chick salad, turkey)...but the day before the event, I realized that was insane and probably only the famous P-dub would do such a crazy thing. Subway it was!
Thank you to all who came.
(Those who had to pick up kids from church camp...We still love you too!)
Wes appreciated it and felt so loved. We are blessed to have so many great people in our life.

The kids kept entertained with bikes, jump ropes, basketball, and the playground...Could I get sued if he fell and killed himself? After I snapped the pic, I responsibly told him to get down!!
Our family from both sides.
We love you all and are so glad this journey is over!
Praying to see other friends celebrate the end of chemo as well.
There is always an end! Praise God!

We. Have. Been. Busy. Part 2.

The next weekend, my mom and sisters went to Kansas to paint my grandma's house. Then we went back to my mom's house to see what all our guys got done. It looks like Zane did some hard work!!
So did Zac, Wes, and dad. Here is the almost finished project of phase 2 of the "I'm going to have the coolest playground so I can be the favorite grandparent".

Part 3 (Wes's party) coming in a couple of days...

Field Day!!!

Zane's Field Day was last Thursday. I love how he loves school!
I signed up to help out with the nail polish station. One little boy wanted his done and then all the little boys thought it would be oh so funny to have their nails painted as well...
Their field day consisted of playing catch with plastic balls, potato sack races, bubbles, paint, chalk, tattoos, and nail polish.

I wonder what they are scheming...
The other Zaine in his class!
Yummy pizza and popsicles!!
Here is the "Easter Bunny" Zane painted for his teacher! He was very proud of it!
Avery's Field Day was last Friday and was much more involved. Here they had a competition to see which group could fill up the bucket the fastest...
Avery's 2nd grade friend from church was in her rotation group!
They then took turns blowing and catching bubbles...

The other Avery in her class!
Then it was a long walk to the back fields for an obstacle course

Then it was playground/free time which apparently consists of gymnastics...
and monkey bars...

On to musical chairs
basketball, jump rope, and hula hoop rotation. Who taught my kid how to jump rope? She could criss-cross?!?!

Avery's was one exhausting field day! We celebrated the beginning of summer with some yummy icecream...
and apparently some love connections...
When it came down to making the move, he just couldn't do it. That's my boy!!!!
Yay for summer!!!

Avery is one excited little girl!

We Have Lost A Tooth!!
She can now join the "I've lost a tooth club" just before first grade ends! Oh how I remember that club and being one of the last to join as well. It just took a lose tooth, floss, and myself quickly yanking to get it to look like this... Barely attached to the skin
She gently tugged, and detached it became!
Her little tooth has been growing behind the baby tooth. Hopefully with the tooth now gone, it will start coming forward...
Much less gruesome than some. I'm starting to wonder if a hammer was involved in that one!??
Luckily, Avery told me to hide the tooth in my purse because she wanted to put it under her pillow when she got home (we were in Dallas and I had no cash)!! Some how the Tooth fairy forgot last night as well though- I think she must have been at the Thunder game. Hopefully tonight she will not forget her tooth fairy duties...
