Kindergarten Graduation

Minus the Wind Beneath My Wings song playing when you walk into the gym, it was a cute fun little program! My camera was on the wrong setting I'm sure, so the pictures aren't the greatest.

Her very awesome teacher!

When we got home she said "When you graduate you are supposed to do this..."
I realized I didn't get a single picture of her and I so we gave it a try ourselves...although she is looking in the mirror instead of at the camera! Oh well. I just needed proof I attended this glorious day!
I know everyone is very sad to know that I could not upload any videos of the graduation. I will try again for the family members but I had one loading all night long and it's still loading.

Oh dear. I'm already getting flashbacks of my childhood and the evil witch of a 1st grade teacher I had...

Keeping Busy

Avery came home Wednesday and told me she is supposed to wear Red White and Blue for graduation today. I am sure I was given a paper about earlier, but I just can't keep up with 20+ papers a day... Anyway, I had a different outfit planned but it did not meet requirements, so Wednesday night I made this dress... Its another version of the bandana dress. Pretend it is nicely ironed. Then I got a note today that said have your child wear a red white or blue shirt and jeans. Jeans? What? The school must not have known my excitement for this dress. I called to see if a dress was ok and it was! I'm crazy. I know.

I have an insane amount of beads that I purchased when I couldn't stop making Avery necklaces. I still find myself buying beads just because. It's so addicting!! Anyway, I was finally able to bust them out again when 2 little girls we met wanted these infamous necklaces...
I finished my 4th hooded towel gift and noticed I can applique a little faster now. This picture makes the M look messed up on the bottom left...but its just a fold in the towel. Promise!I decided to make the kids' invitations this year which was more time consuming than I thought it would be...now lets see if I can pass/mail them all out before the day of the party. Avery helped with the glitter glue...I made another super hero shirt. Debating if I should try to make a Super Why shirt just for fun. I'm thinking I should finish the Fancy flower pins and the Super Hero masks first though.I'm not sure why I love craziness...but I just can't stop myself!

Anybody had one these??

I always thought it looked neat and so I finally decided to try it. I'm pretty sure it's made by mixing milk and grass together. I was able to drink it down because I don't like wasting $3...but every drink I thought to myself, Yep. Still tastes like grass...

Oh, My Zane...

Occasionally Zane will decide eating during dinner time is overrated and getting down to run around is more fun. That results in the baby highchair!
"Stop taking my picture. You aren't supposed to look at people when they are crying....."
After 10 minutes or so, Zane asked..

Z: Daddy, do you still love me?
W: Feeling a slight pain in his heart, going to pick him up he said...blah blah blah...I will always love you no matter what.
Z: What does no matter what mean? Even when I [insert several naughty things]…
W: Yes, you can’t do anything that will make me stop loving you. Things can make me sad or disappointed. Some things will have consequences, but I will always love you.
Another funny thing he has said lately...
Z: Mommy, I want someone to come take our house away.
Me: What? Why do you want that?
Z: Because GG's house is too way far away. I want to go to the Kiddie Park.
Me: Do you want to call GG? Ask her if the Kiddie Park opens Memorial Day weekend!
[He called her almost crying. He was really missing her I guess! After a while of chit chatting he said...]
Z: GG, guess what!? You helped me make myself cheer up!
I guess that is what GG's are for!! I nearly died listening to him say that. It was so precious!
Lastly, when he woke up from nap just now, I thought I'd take the time to hold him and tell him I love him. I also asked him if he thought I was a good mommy. I thought I would see if I had brainwashed him well enough to say "You're the best mommy in the whole wide world..." like he used to say...but instead I got this...
Z: [Head shaking no...]
Me: What? Why not?
Z: Because you're not a good cook. Daddy is though. (I really wanted to say whatever dude, last night was the first time he has ever cooked. I'd probably do a great job too if I only had to cook once every six years...instead I said...)
Me: But you like my speghetti and quesadillas, and enchiladas...
Z: Grandma's enchiladas were better. Hers were really cheesey and yummy...
So much for whole wheat tortillas and healthier "goop." It just can't compete with grandma's cookin...
That little squirt.

Baby Mason!!

Friday night we went and stayed with my grandparents which are the halfway point to Mandy's. Avery got her face painted like a cheetah at school that day and did not want to wash it off! Saturday at 7:30am we left to go to Mandy's to finally see this little cutie! Dad got pulled over in a speed trap and Zane rolled down the window and just started talking and talking to that police officer! About the Car's movie he was watching, his birthday party coming up, and I don't even remember what else. Too bad he didn't start crying...maybe they would have given him a warning instead!
The kids were great with him which is really making me go crazy for another baby! Avery loved getting her old toys and showing him how they worked!Precious!

Zane said he was NOT going to kiss him, but he sang him We Will Rock You in a high soft sweet voice while petting his fingers, ears, and cheeks!!

While Mason took a nap, Zac took the kids to the park

Can't wait to see him again in a few weeks!! He will probably look completely different. I totally agree Zane...

Our Last SSS Program...

I can't believe the time has come when Sonshine School will no longer be a part of our lives. Here is Mr. Zane's class getting ready to perform! Goodbye Busy Bee chair...(why does it feel like I'm sending him off to college...) I love it when they like each other! So sweet!!
Since I already posted him singing his Busy Bee Song, and doing Matt 22:37 in sign language, I thought I'd post this one from the program. I can't really understand anything other than "he will make your path's straight!" but that was my favorite part anyway! I think Zane was chewing on something...

1,2,3 Jesus loves me was too long to upload as was Building Up the Kingdom...but I love how he sings it so I had him do part of it at home...

I apologize for all these lame video's but the kids feel like celebrities seeing themselves on here and the grandparents probably enjoy them :) You will only have to endure one more-Kindergarten graduation!!

Medals in May!

Thursday, Avery got to show me everything she's been learning the last month at gymnastics. We got to stretch with them...I think I ripped my leg muscle doing the splits... I skipped this part...
She has gotten less scared on bars which was fun seeing. She actually said it's her favorite now! I missed the first part of her pullover on the video below, but was excited she could do it so easily now!
On floor, they learned the level 1 routine and performed it (video below) but for some reason Avery did a funky cartwheel. Here is her doing a better one!
and landing it...
She is still very timid on the beam. Unlike at Star, the coaches don't stand right next to her while doing the routines, so Avery went from doing a forward roll and a mini handstand on the beam to barely walking!! Her first day back at this gym she told me she almost cried on beam because she was afraid she would fall off and they wouldn't catch her! I'm sure she'll get used to it and get back to doing what she was before...she excels when she feels confident! I tried uploading this video but it may have been too long. It has been uploading all day so I just cancelled it.
Gotta love the pit...
Then they did a little bit of conditioning...
and it was time to get their medals!! It looks like I need to teach her what to do with her arms here! Wow, that is a high cut gym suit...
Here are the video's...oh and I thought I had a video of vault but somehow I only recorded her standing in line waiting and I guess pushed end when she actually went. Both times.
