Christmas Around a 3 hour radius

The countdown has ended... We went to my mom's for Christmas.
Some awesome self portrait skills right here...
Christmas Eve gift.
Leaving Santa some cookies and a letter!
Stockings!!

My Mom and Dad finally got the Christmas of their dreams...
Kitchen Aid
Gun...
and Carhartt's...
Christmas evening was spent in Missouri at my cousin Blair's house. My mom's mom and two sisters were there along with 5 of the 6 cousin's...plus spouses and great-grand kids. We just did a $5 gift exchange this year. Wes unwrapped a cute little hat but thankfully it was stolen. He then got to steal the car cleaning cloths from my dad!
The kid's had their own little exchange. PS moon dough is awful. So sorry I bought it :(
My grandma always brings some kind of game for us to do. This year we had to put an oreo on our forehead and wiggle it down to our mouth without touching it. I was the first one to get it the first round. Less than 60 seconds and maybe less than 30...we didn't time it. Sadly the photographer behind my camera only got really blurry pictures of this glorious winning. So, here is just another picture of the crew.
My grandma and her grandkids-minus my sister Mandy
We brought Left Right Center to the Delmont's. Grandma won the pot this time!
The cheesy shirt picture...
Back at my mom's house Z shows off his collection of Bakugan Balls!
Sunday, Mandy and her family come along with Britt's boyfriend. Here we are playing Cranium. Av took the picture and then my camera died.
Monday we went to see my dad's parents on our way home, but my camera was still dead. Anyone know where are battery charger is?!

December...

We've been pretty busy this month! The kid's got to show the church everything they have been learning in bible class this year...
Wes and I went to his work party. I believe this is our first date in months...
Britt and Brant watched the kids and decorated cookies while Wes and I were at the party...
The Tur-Bus's monthly crafting's...
Different hand/foot prints
Homemade clay ornaments.
(Eli's, Evie's-I made!, Jax's, Ry's)
We made made these too! Avery and Zane's creations...
I got the itch to make something the other night and decided to whip up a quick, easy, and cheap fleece scarf along with a shirt for Avery. My sewing machine was great with the scarf but frustrated me like crazy with the shirt. It kept getting stuck, skipped stitches, pulled the shirt all weird. Ugh. It doesn't look too hot, but it works. I should probably clean out my machine...
I also made a necklace for her. For some reason, this is how I get filled up. I get so giddy when I make her something I like. I think I get more excited than she does...I'm crazy.

Cocoa and Carols

First, I wanted to document that we did in fact put our tree up this year. I couldn't find the multicolored lights on green wire until after I put on the outdoor white icicle lights. I was not about to redo it!I crocheted the kids some winter gear...I love ruffly scarves and thick soft wool hats!
We went with our church to apartments nearby to sing Christmas carols and drink hot cocoa. I was impressed with the turn out- we had to park very far away!! Avery shivered the whole time and Zane ran around to stay warm.
A great picture of my glasses slipping down my nose...and my family.
I should probably get started on Christmas shopping. It appears to be coming up soon!

Thanksgiving

Our 3rd weekend to be gone in November was for a trip to Bartlesville for Thanksgiving.
Here are all the cousins...
My dad's parents...
The kids insist on taking two of every picture these days...
I didn't shrink this picture in case you wanted a close up! I had a sliver of every single dessert!!
Chocolate layered pound cake, pumpkin, pecan, cherry, and blueberry pie, and another blueberry dessert. Yummy!!
Game time. Another round of Left Right Center but using chips instead of money. We also played Imagine If which is a GREAT game if everyone knows everyone fairly well. We didn't play Encore this time, but its an awesome game as well. I recently learned how to crochet a hat and it seems as though it evolved into an addiction during this trip...The tan scarf and hat were given to my little sis. The pink and red hat is Avery's and the others are just chillin' right now. I need to make some cute flower clips or something to go with them and then give them away.
(I win the Who Was The Biggest Dork During Thanksgiving Award) My cousins, Jared and Arianna watched Home Alone with the kids, took them outside to swing, and watched them ride the power wheels. They were great help. Zane called Jared his buddy and stayed attached to him the whole time. You can kinda see Zane is holding Jared's arm even during the movie!
When the company left, it was work time for the boys. My dad had dug a ton of holes...They mixed up the concrete...
Got string and levels, and went to work...

Here we are sitting on the finished deck of the soon to be most amazing playhouse ever. Pretty sure it's going to be like the Swiss Family Robinson's when it's done. Oh, I don't want to forget to add...I drilled in SEVERAL screws as well. Just didn't want anyone to forget...
Great trip as well but I am ready to be home and do nothing for a weekend. This past weekend I went to after hours and the ER, so I still have not gotten our Christmas tree up. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to...along with enjoy some relax time.

Road Trip to Austen's Birthday

Another weekend in November, I drove 4 crazy kiddo's to Dallas! I was telling them how I didn't get a cell phone until I was 16! L said..."I don't mean this rude, but you're kinda an old lady...you were born in like the 19's...and people didn't have cell phones back then. That's why." Ha! I guess he has a point. I almost told him I never had a pager either...but he's probably never heard of that. I just let him win that one! This is how they slept. We like to tie Zane's hands behind his back so he can't get up...
(That's a joke OKDHS)
This is also where I slept!
We woke up and went here!! I'm so glad Amy has Austen's bday's at fun places, so I don't have to do them!
Pretty good pizza I have to say...
The big 5 year old.
Z and I rode a go cart and I floored it the whole way never letting up. I'm kinda wild and crazy like that.
Avery rode with one of Amy's friends...

The older ones wanted to pay to climb the rock wall. I guess you have to be 10 in order to do that...so they decided they were 10 year old twins. I let them. I'm aunt rebel.

Saying goodbye and heading home...
Happy Birthday Austen! Grow a lot so we can continue getting your hand me downs :)
