Still have a ways to go...

I guess I haven't finished Christmas Shopping. I went to wrap gifts and realized Avery has a pink Tag carrying case and Zane has a Tag pen and a tag book and thats it! I got them a lot of leap frog stuff since I had an online coupon on top of an online sale, but had my family buy it all from me and make it their gifts. I guess I didn't realize it was all gone!

I have random clearance crap to fill their stockings but as of now my parents tree will be pretty sad looking on Christmas morning!

Avery is asking for a Jonas Brothers doll. She must have a JB fan in her school class. I guess I'll see if they have that since everything else she's asking for is a laptop, cell phone, and other ridiculous things. Zane wants a snuggie, bendaroo's, and pillow pet...oh infomercials. I'm sure he'd love anything. That is just what he sees everyday. Not sure what to get him yet.

I also need to get an ugly sweater. I hope the thrift stores still have some. Sounds like I'll be busy today...

Star's Jingle Bell Gymnastics Meet!

Today the kid's had a gymnastics meet and like the last one, it didn't quite go as planned. Our camera was dropped and broke when taking a picture of Wes and I after his work xmas party. I had forgotten about it until we were leaving. I didn't bother taking our cruddy camera because I just knew Britt would take hers. Well she didn't. We have no pictures of this meet. We have video but its on a tape and not digital. So sad I can't share it with you all.
My parents came to watch and we were all excited about it. I thought it started at 2:30 but it was 2! As soon as Zane walked in they had him go (since he missed his turn). He had no time to see what was going on so was too "scared" to do most of it. I also wasn't able to get the video camera ready for his. Oops. We did get video of Avery and she did a great job. She is now able to do all the routines by herself except bars!! I'm so jealous and really badly want to play on the gymnastics equipment. That would be fun to watch...

Random Thoughts Thursday

It's naptime (late nap) and I can't stop wondering how in the world my kids manage to get toothpaste on the back of their head. Nearly everytime. Both. Do they just hit each other with their toothbrushes? Is that how they tell each other "my turn to spit"??

I'm thinking its going to be a Dr. Phil day. I've already done some dishes, laundry, and a couple of errands. I deserve a pillow and a remote control for a little while.

A couple of days ago, I got the last Brownie Batter icecream at braums. Who can seriously deny Christ after something so miraculous as that? He knows if I'm walking into Braums to get it, that I do in fact NEED it...so he provides! He also knows I probably don't need more than 1 tub but on occasion will be weak and lack in self control. Sensing I was weak that day, he gave me no other option. What would I do without him?

My house is so sad. I don't have a single Christmas decoration out. There is no room while we have 240 square feet worth of toys in our living room. It doesn't help that I married Mr. Scrooge who still refuses to put lights up on our house. Yes, 5 years. No lights. Scrooge.

My smart child...
Zane- (finishing up his food in the car when we were on the road) "Now I just need to drink all my water."
Me- "Well, you dont have to drink all of it!"
Wes- "Yea or u will have to pee."
Zane- "Does water turn to pee?"
Me- "Well, Yes."
Zane- "Woah, that's crazy!!!!!! Daddy, did u know water turns to pee? Isn't that funny!??"

My 13 year old child...
Several days ago, Avery informed us that "I had a dream about the jonas brothers and they knew my name!!" Then yesterday she comes home with magazine cut outs of the Jonas Brothers in her backpack and told me to put them on HER facebook...

Seriously Dr. Phil? I don't care that Robin wrote a Christmas book. Very disappointed. I think I will try Hulu. Biggest Loser, don't let me down.......

Crazy Weekend

Oh Friday. I drove to Norman to pick up my brother in law who will be working on our sunroom. On the way back from getting him, I stopped by and picked up two extra kids (5 kids in my car!) and watched them while their mom was at the hospital. That evening I picked up two neighbor girls making 7 kids in my car! I dropped off Avery at OC for cheerleading practice! We then went went to Family Movie Night of the Polar Express at our church! It was such a cute idea! Saturday morning we took the kids to the fair grounds where Memaw took the kids to the train show. Wes, his brother and I went home and painted the exterior of our sunroom. The kids came back and Wes took Zane to a birthday party while I went to OC's basketball game to watch Avery perform. Yes, this was our wrapping job. I'm a gift bag giver but the playdough was shaped like a trapezoid and wouldn't work. This is what last minute wrapping looks like when you don't own wrapping paper and couldn't find tape. Oh well. What you can't see is Zane's cute card he made of a birthday cake and balloons. He was proud!Avery did a great job at her cheer clinic! Memaw came and watched too...
Thank you to aunt Brittany for signing her up for it!
I then dropped Avery off at the church for some free babysitting and went to go pick up Zane from the bday party and drop him off at the church as well! Wes and I went to visit our friends new baby. Miss Haylie was soooo cute. I picked the kids back up and we went to bed. Sunday we went to church, ate lunch, then I took Avery to her friends birthday party...

While we were gone, Wes and his bro caulked all the windows and when I came back home I finished up the painting. Then. Finally. Rest...
Soooo...who's going to clean our house now...

Washing Machines Really Do Eat Your Socks...

I was doing laundry yesterday and noticed there was something behind this rubber piece so I pulled it back (I didn't even know it bent so easily and had this little hidden compartment) and low and behold 3 missing socks. They've been there for at least a month. Avery has been missing her little Hannah Montana sock.

True Love and Art

I finally decided to go through the huge stack of papers that came from Avery's backpack and had taken over our kitchen table. The majority was put in recycle but let's keep that our secret! Then, I came upon this picture... CKLAN= Callon... Holding hands and all! In pencil it says Avery Cklan. I guess their love for each other is back on?! A couple of days ago she came home very excited to inform me "Today Callon and Colt both said they love me!" I kinda want to go spy on her during recess!
With a clean table, we were able to make these little gingerbread men for school. I tied a bow and cut the material but she was was all about doing it herself!
Neighbor friend came over with her mom and sister to work on hers as well. So cute!

While doing this, we were supposed to talk about family holiday traditions in which Avery will share with her class. I asked her what some of ours were and she said "Going to GG's and making belly button cookies for us to eat and Santa." Me- "Making cookies on Christmas eve is our tradition! Where we are and what we make may change though. We also get to open one present on Christmas eve. Oh and do you remember after Santa eats the cookies, he leaves a thank you note?!" Av- "Yes but what happens if he can't find a pen or pencil?" Me- "Oh he always keeps one!"

Around the House...

We now have unpainted siding and windows up! It's coming along and I'm excited.
Here's the extra boy I have around these days. This is puzzle time which I figured would last ten minutes. Thankfully it was over an hour. I had time to blog and we even went over what a trapazoid was! Oh yes, this is quality educational childcare here!Seriously, another picture?! Yes. Don't you know I need lame pictures in order to blog. Sometimes I'm a little low on material alright?! This is what we call a redneck train table. The boys love it! He's a cutie. Kinda want to steal him. Its nap time though and boy do I love nap time. Nothing more heavenly than seeing two boys passed out on beds! Must finish up a Christmas shirt order now.
