Here is for randomness...

I'm officially tired and very glad Wes just walked in.

Trying to impress kids by doing a cartwheel on the balance beam at the science museum is really not a good idea if you are really out of shape and can no longer even bend down and touch the ground...

What do you think happened when you hear a little girl crying out of the blue? This is easy...her brother probably told her she wasn't pretty or fabulous. Of course. That would make me cry too.

Why have I started 14 projects and haven't finished any of them but at the same time am excited for my snapfish photos to arrive so I can start a scrapping project also. Maybe I just like the number 15? ADD? Addicted to craziness? Any therapists out there? :)

I haven't watched a single TV show in a week. Maybe longer.

If you are cooking noodles and forget about them to go and talk to a friend for 45 minutes, it doesn't end pretty for your pan. However, the speghetti...after it sits in the fridge for a day soaking in all the sauce is really okay!

Often times I wonder why in the world am I even typing.

That being said. I'm going to go.

Avery is 5!!!

My two ROCKSTARS!!
We started out with making Rockstar t-shirts! I opted for this as opposed to a goody bag! It was actually mess free and fairly easy. I think kids enjoyed it!

Here is the finished product! It makes for a good nightgown!
Then we went outside to play...
Enjoyed the AMAZING cake from Katie. You have a Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers, and the people in the back...
are the High School Musical characters! Miss Lilly informed me that she is not allowed to watch these shows because they have too much attitude! I totally agree :) Avery doesn't watch the shows and I'm pretty sure she doesn't know a single song the Jonas Brother's sing...but I figured I could have them all on the cake so I'll never have to do each one seperately!!!
Presents time! All of the presents were great and we thank you very much!Outside time again!
It got too hot pretty quickly for many of the kids. We just busted out some of the presents and played in the sunroom.
Party=Success! Suprisingly not stressful at all even with 11 five-seven year olds and 3 three year olds!
MeeMaw and the grandkids
Avery and GG were reading Amelia Bedelia books (from GG) in which Avery so sweety informed her that "your gift is kinda fun...[not looking thrilled]!" She will soon find out how funny Amelia is. I loved those books. Good thing she got some coloring books and crayons too...I'm not sure she'll ever outgrow those!
and now it's nap time! Woohoo!!!

Summer Fun

Every Thursday we go to the Children's Museum. You should come too!Avery goes for some History program. I forgot what it is called. They have a little history lesson, read a book about the lesson, and make a craft. This week they dressed up like people did in the wild west! Then took a picture and decorated a wanted poster. Yes, we are not above going to a random person's house we don't know, just to pet the miniature horses!
Avery had a butterfly land on her foot after swimming! She is getting more and more brave! We are excited for swim lessons to start the end of this month!

Letting my kids dress themselves...

Saturday, Wes and I were supposed to go out on a birthday date but he didn't start trying to find a babysitter until that afternoon. We were unsuccessful with all of our regulars and felt it was too late to impose that on someone that is not a regular...so we just took the kids on a date. As you can see, they dressed themselves.

Their favorite place is "Scooby Doo's." They both got Carebear flavored!? Waiting...
Enjoying...Dancing...

Playing...

Left...nice time.

Oh, did I mentioned they looked like this wandering through Old Navy too!? Oh well.

Random thoughts Saturday

Why is it that BOTH of my sweet angelic 2 year olds that went straight to sleep after putting them into bed, became 3 year olds that would not fall asleep until after 10 and in crazy places? Here is Avery just after turning 3...
Now here is Zane at 3...
I guess there is something really cool and comforting about our hallway?? Avery grew out of but can't remember when. Anyway, it really has put a damper on me being able to blog during the evenings. The pictures you see are after a battle of runing into our room back and forth, fussing that they aren't tired, they are hungry, thirsty, etc. kicking the wall and singing We Will Rock You, going to the bathroom 500 times washing the hands for an hour each time...When they get to the point I can take a picture, it truly is a blessing! Unfortunately its after 10 and most likely Wes and I hadn't had a conversation yet...so blogs are sparse. I know you all are oh so devastated.

I love this breakfast...if only I had someone bring it to me in bed!
Why do I not want to get out of bed at all today? It could be because I didn't fall asleep until after 3am...or it could be because I want a vacay and trying to pretend my bed is actually a beach? Wes is sick so maybe its just the knowing I'll be doing it alone today and i'm bummed about it? I dunno...having a weird day. I'm sure I'll snap out of it soon. In the meantime, if anyone is oh so wanting to play with two kids...just let me know! Haha.
Here is Avery taking a self portrait! I didn't even know she took it until I was getting pictures off the camera...she wanted to see this one! When she found out it was my birthday Wednesday, she quickly found a gift bag (the one pictured) and included a colored picture, heart that says i love mom, a rock, and a leaf she made at school. Very cute and thoughtful! She was obviously proud!!

Darn, the kids are sick of entertaining themselves! I guess my random thoughts are over. I sound like a very ungrateful parent. Well...its wrong to judge :)

July 4th festivities

Friday night we went to the famous Bartlesville Kiddie Park that has been around for like three generations. When I become rich (or organized), I'm going to bring this to Edmond. There are a ton of little kiddie rides and they are all just 25 or 50 cents. Avery is proud to let everyone know that she went up to the clown and talked to him! She then informed us she was Dinsey World ready! It was then time for our fireworks in the backyard. Here was our fireworks! Saturday morning it was time for a drive. I miss this much land...Sisters! Yes, I need to layout.
For some reason, reading books is the kid's favorite thing to do at GG's house...at mine...it's just make messes.
Here is some of the family from my mom's side.
The grand and great-grandkids with the Delmont's
Here are the fireworks Saturday night! I love this picture...it's my dad mom and Brittany!
There they are watching!
Here we are Sunday morning after church all decked out in red white and blue!

July 4th fireworks!

I'm very behind on blogging. Here is the end of Bartlesville's fireworks show. Kids weren't really that scared which suprised me. Zane thought they were too loud but didn't freak out. We were at a perfect location and it was a good time. I think I want to check out Edmond's next year though...
