The big 3!!

Zane had his 3rd birthday party this weekend. Oh what would we do if their birthdays weren't in the summer! It's nice to be able to have a free party where I can sit and watch them play in water!!I can't believe we forgot to take some close up's of the birthday cake! It was so cute and everyone (even the adults) thought it was very moist and yummy cake! If you need a cake check out Katie's cakes they are truly works of art. At the bottom, click on older posts...that is where some of her most amazing ones are...I can't stop looking at them!We hired a little helper to face paint...and make balloons! Most people wanted swords. but there were a couple hats and a dog as well! Presents time!!
then back for a little more playtime

Friday Fun

We went to watch the movie Up, which I nearly cried the whole time. Am I the only one that never knew about tinseltown movie theater!!!? Then, we got all of the cousins together to eat pizza, play... and then icecream! They are a crazy bunch! 2 are 9, 2 are 6, 1 is 5 in a month, 2 are 3, and 1will be 3 in August!

Cousins come from Alabama!!!

Wednesday we went to the science museum and saw things we never have before! This must have been hiding everytime have gone prior! Our future meteorologists! The two boys had blue shirts on, so their bodies are clouds!
They got to be inside a tornado with winds up to 70 some miles an hour!

So this is the one I spend hours on each time, trying to figure it out. Two minutes after Crispin started, he got it. My ego is still hurting....Came back home to chillax...probably the last year this can occur without anyone being worried! Kissing daddy's port "booboo"
Thursday, we went to the Children's Museum. It was the first time we've gone and I loved it! I enrolled Avery in the art and history summer program they do every thursday from 10-11. Crispin and Duncan joined this time too! They had a lesson about the days people lived in sod houses. Here they are making a sod house! Very worth it and so educational! The little ones played in the children's area.

They stole some money from the bank.... and ended up in jail. They are very sad...
They also had a garden, a house with dress up clothes, a grocery store, and book/coloring center. I want this as a play room...
We ended the day with some swimming and fun camera tricks. Then some AMAZING food by chef Amy!

Mom and Son Western BBQ!

Now we are at Tuesday! It have been a very busy week and I haven't been able to keep up. This was a mom and son activity at our church and far exceeded my expectations. Very cute idea! Zane actually wasn't three until this Friday (a bday post will be coming) but shhhh....don't tell on me!!!
Here are the two cowboy cousins!

Zane was less than thrilled with the horse at first...After a few threats and bribes! :) Such a big brave boy!
There were all sorts of fun little games...

We thought Uncle Zac would like this tattoo...!

The meal was yummy. Bbq meat on a bun and some potato chips. I had some root beer and he had some lemonade. Between him and Austen, there were three spills!! Next time, I think I may pack a sippy cup!! Dessert was hay stacks (butterscotch pretzel sticks) or cow patties (no bake cookies)

Entertainment was a real cowboy showing us roping tricks!

Playing with my camera

Monday, we went to a bday party and I had fun picking accent colors. Red would bring out your lips or anything redish on your face so it would look weird. The orange and sometimes yellow would do that as well. Everybody who's fabulous pops up on one toe...if you never got that memo!Blue seemed to work best.
Now, if only I had a function that when on, you would appear to have shed 10 pounds! Oh swimsuit season... :)

A little behind...

Last Friday, late at night...this is what I was doing...instead of celebrating Wes's birthday (because he was at work and not because I'm a terrible wife!)
This is my stack of kid clothes and it's not even all of them. Oh, and my sister saved about 8 tubs for herself. She has no more room in her attic, especially since she's not even expecting or trying.
Here's my wonderful sis-in-law who also brought her stuff over. It was quite successful for a last minute, really ghetto signs, garage sale! Afterwards, it was time for cooling off. Our first swim of the summer! Yes, Avery always has to pose. Oh and since you all are probably going to be as excited as I am....BROWNIE BATTER AT BRAUMS IS BACK!!!
