Our July Summed Up...

I love how the kids can do story time without me these days! Avery is getting better but she needed a lot of help from J. He will be in Kindergarten next year and he reads better than a will be 2nd grader! Crazy girls at the Science Museum
They had a new shadow box thing. It counts down from 10, you pose, it flashes, you look at the wall and your shadow is still there.
Flight simulator. Another new thing we did at the SM. Each girl crashed, so they did not get a sticker...I thought the guy was kidding when he said that but oh no. They are serious with their handing out of stickers!!
Avery has started to love playing with her dolls finally. It's cute watching her take care of the babies. She takes them to daycare, puts them in seatbelts, etc.
We got to keep Austen's power wheels for a couple of weeks this month. It is now gone, but we sure liked riding it up and down the street several times.
Both kids will finally let water fall all over their face. It's amazing. I have finally been able to set up reservations at Great Wolf Lodge and I'm excited!
We went to this spray ground and pool several times this month. I love free activities!

This whole end of the pool is just 2 feet 7 inches so all of my kids can touch!
Avery has mastered the monkey bars. It was probably mastered long ago at school recess...but I've never been able to see her!
Unpluggits face painting day!

Zane got a pretty nasty splinter (which is why I wasn't able to push down the cuticles)...
This was the cutest thing ever to watch and Zane handled losing well!
Went to GG's house again this month and Avery jumped into deeper water with no help and even did split jumps. Fear of water and crying every time we swim is no longer!
GG's gynormous garden!
Silly String!!
Awesome magic show at our library. I was seriously amazed. I go crazy trying to figure out how they do it. For real. I was amazed.
We also went to a Water Show. Did you know when water is frozen really fast, it is white because the air didn't have a chance to escape before it froze?!
If water is in a balloon, the water will absorb the heat first and only once it has absorbed all it can, will the heat travel to the balloon. So this balloon didn't pop until about 30 seconds or so. Did not know that!
The kids all got to eat a cheese puff that had been frozen with liquid nitrogen making them have "dragon's breath"!
They then got to eat a Gatorade slushie made by pouring the nitrogen in the Gatorade. I need to get me some liquid nitrogen. That would be a fun way to make ice cream!
Reading time at the library...
some more unpluggits...
These kids are crazy. This was them while I voted on Tuesday!
This boy needs to get some meat on him. Those are 2T swim trunks and they don't stay up...
Another fun and busy month. Here's to August...

Braum's Family Farm Trip (Tuttle, OK)

If you make it here without getting lost, it's a pretty neat place! We were given these little goodies at the end of our trip. Not pictured: an ice cream magnet also included. Trip and Goodies were all free! We got there and watched a video of what and how they feed their cows, how they fertilize, how the cows live and how they are milked, and then how they make each of their products. We then hopped on a cow bus...
Went into a building and up a small flight of stairs...
and got to see how everything is made!
Zane was not a fan of the smell and neither was I. It was wierd. Not poo smell but maybe machine/nursing home/hospital smell?!
Here was our tour guide. She is asking all the kids what their favorite flavor is. Av's was strawberry and Z's was Orange Sherbet
All the kids in our group in front of the cow tour bus. The horn moo'd- cute but not after 20 times...
Enjoying their free icecream...they are such goobers.

Where did these babies go?

Today Avery is 6. I never put up a post on Zane's actual birthday so this is for the both of them. And for me.
This was them at 12 months...

Avery always made this face!

Zane was our little snaggletooth!

1 and 3

Such a sweet and innocent little face!

I would love to have the kid's pictures taken here (Bishop Studio in Pittsburg, KS) again. Maybe my sister will let us borrow some of baby Mason's session!!?
