THE BDAY PARTY BASHES!!!

ZANE'S LEGO PARTY
June 5- He's now 6 years old!!
This year I was a little too overwhelmed to plan parties. If it weren't for my little sister, these pictures would be very sad looking. She did all the decorations, goody bags, and desserts! The cupcakes had little Lego candy pieces on them for something quick and easy that fits the theme!
 He's a crazy character...
 Singing Happy Birthday...
 Britt made a Lego pinata!!
and then we played in the water!!
Wes filled up about 100 water balloons...
for the kids to store up in the playhouse...
 until the big water fight...
Wes's great idea kinda backfired on him!!
then the kids turned on the kids...
Great turnout. A lot of fun, and I just had to be there and watch!!
AVERY'S DANCE PARTY SLEEPOVER
July 29- She's now 8 years old!!
We first opened gifts and then made ice cream sundae's filled with all things sugar!!
Then we danced...and danced...and danced. I saw some crazy moves, and yes...that is a picture of one girl dancing on the coffee table! They danced to Kidz Bop and Just Dance Wii.
Wes and Zane went and watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days at the movie theater, so it was just us girls...doing girly things!!
Like make-up...which was hilarious to listen to. It sounded like 16 year olds in there..."I have model lips", "You need lip liner on those model lips"
"Wow...you are a professional at doing eyes"...
This is what 8 year olds who are wearing an insane amount of make-up do when you say strike a fabulous pose!!
 Then they made bracelets...
and at 10pm it was time to watch The Muppets. (I'm sleeping on the couch behind them!) I was hoping it would be boring enough to fall asleep to, but it wasn't! It was actually good and they were all still awake after it ended. I think at 12:50 I threatened them all with screaming and gnashing of teeth...and they fell asleep immediately!
Breakfast was homemade waffles with left over ice cream sundae toppings!!
Once again Britt decorated for this party. Check out the disco ball hanging...
and some dancing...

Family Vacation: Griswold Style!!

Road trip to Montgomery and Gulf Shores
5 kids, 3 adults, 1 car, 16 hours. The end!!
Its been a while since we've been on a family vacation, so this was much needed. We took a few extras but it was a great time!!
I love getting all the cousins together and was glad they got to meet the newest girl cousin, Miss Juliet!!
We went to the Montgomery Zoo...
 fed birds...

ate a yummy dinner at a dinner theater...
 watched uncle Jason perform...
 in the Three Musketeers...
 enjoyed an amazing magic show...
and tried (237 times) to get an adorable beach picture of the cousins!! We didn't get a million dollar photo, but we sure made some fun memories.
We didn't get a real good family picture either...darn that wind!!
We had a lot of fun at The Hangout where we ate...
played in bubbles...
did flips on a bungee trampoline...
won a big limbo competition...
and just hung out!!
We then went to my grandpa's house a few miles from Gulf Shores and stayed there a couple of days. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of them...but I did get a picture of their pool!
The kids liked swimming in the pool more than the ocean, which was good since our last day it ended up being double red flag day. Wes took the older kids shopping while Amy and I watched these rug-rats throw sand at each other while yelling at them to get out of the water!!
I'm already looking forward to going back. I sure wouldn't mind retiring in Gulf Shores one day.
